Applying for ENT ST3
For core trainees, foundation doctors and clinical fellows exploring ENT or preparing to apply. Use the published notes and questions to strengthen your clinical foundations, and practise explaining your reasoning out loud.
- Read a topic, answer its linked questions and revisit the explanation.
- Use public viva samples to practise structuring a spoken answer. These are FRCS-level examples, not a dedicated ST3 interview course.

Learn and keep your evidence together
During ENT training
Move between clinical learning and your training record. Read referenced notes, practise questions and vivas, then organise procedures, assessments, teaching and other evidence against the curriculum.
- Start from a note, a question or a topic you want to understand better.
- Log evidence, link it to curriculum topics and review your training-year progress.
- Connect ISCP/eLogbook to bring in supported records, or start with a local portfolio entry. Review prepared handoffs before using them officially.

Preparing for FRCS
Work through the question bank, understand why each answer option fits or does not, and open the linked note when you need more detail. Use viva stations to practise saying what you know.
- Choose topics and revisit questions you answered incorrectly.
- Save progress and use spaced Review during Trial or Plus.
- Practise vivas alone or with a colleague and compare your answer with the mark scheme.
